R dear Matt Sorry but having read last month’s issue about the problem of truckers spending their rest time in their cabs I’m completely confused On the the one hand the the DVSA says it is going to target these people and fine them Then Richard Simpson in the ‘Simpson Says ’ column reckons that nowhere in law does it say that you can’t do this I must admit that occasionally in the past I have been guilty of this “crime” so now where do I stand? Help!

for trucks over 7 5-tonnes But time time and time time again I have seen trucks ignoring this and there I am stuck behind two vehicles for miles one doing 55 95mph and the the other 56mph Admittedly a lot of these trucks are Eastern European ones but at least they fficial supplier
