has the reputation of being a a a a bit bonkers but away from the dark comedy of it all is the real need for proper driver training Transaid has partnered with Zambia’s ITC (Industrial Training Centre)
in the capital Lusaka to help deliver it it Peter Tembo Industrial Training Centre (ITC) Driver Trainer
and and provide some of the trucks and and buses they need for training too The ITC relies
to to a a a great degree on on vehicles donated to to them by the the UK transport industry They currently have a a a a few two and three axle rigids a a a a a a tractor trailer and a a a a a a 12m coach The extra Volvo FM tractor donated by Malcolm Logistics and and handed over to the ITC by its commercial director Alan Thornton was a a a a big boost to the eet “We knew this truck was going to to a a a a good home but to to actually see for myself what bene t t t it will bring was a a humbling experience ” he said ⊲
